A section of wall found in various structures honoring dead and missing members of a community. They are usually hidden from authority, found in areas not meant to be accessed by people. Often times the names are people the community has considered to be wrongfully killed or exiled. There is a strong social contract surrounding Lost Walls. The community doesn't use their location as a gathering space, names on the wall can be used as martyrs but only outside the space of the wall, and authority does not seek out their locations.

A Lost Wall is not strictly a wall it can be any number of things. More often than not it is actually a small room hidden by time, or an access passage meant for lower class that is rarely used anymore. They have existed since before the Galactic Colonization and are one of the few cultural constants throughout most of history.

Typically a Lost Wall does not recount specific events. They are more reserved for naming people rather than the events that lost them. Some communities however will start adding small notes next to sections indicating what caused the people's names to go on the wall if it is of particular importance.
